Lamar Smith – Author of SOPA Campaign Website Copyright Violation
Turns out Lamar Smith, the author of controversial SOPA legislation which could have detrimental consequences on the internet if passed, is a copyright violator himself. Lamar Smith’s campaign website contains a background image the authorship of which has been traced to photographer DJ Schulte, but Lamar Smith doesn’t credit the author on his website. According to the SOPA legislation he’s introduced, his website could be shut down due to copyright infringement. Ironic much?
